ニューヨークで独身生活を謳歌するボビーの35歳の誕生日。ボビーの友人たちはボビーをお祝いしようとします。彼らは、みんな結婚していたりパートナーがいたりと楽しく暮らしています。そんな友人カップルたちの家に招かれては「３人で」いる時間を楽しむボビーですが、「いつになったら結婚するの？」「今のままでいいのよ。自由があるなんて最高じゃない」と言われ続けることにうんざり。

35歳を迎え、都会で暮らす独身女性、結婚し夫婦だけの生活に飽きて独身生活を送るボビーを心配しながらも羨ましく思っている友人たちのリアルな姿を描いた作品。　

It's Bobbie's 35th birthday. All her friends keep asking why she isn't going to to get married... Why can't she find the right person? Isn't it about time for her to settle down and start a new family? As Bobbie searches for the answers, she starts to realize why being single, being married, and being alive in the 21st century New York drive everyone crazy.

殺人現場を目撃してしまったクラブ歌手のデロリスは、ギャングに命をねらわれるはめになる。デロリスが身を隠した場所は、お堅い修道院。最初はおとなしく隠れていたが、聖歌隊のリーダーになって本領を発揮。ヘタクソなコーラスがソウルやロックのリズミカルな賛美歌に変わり、街中で評判になってテレビ中継までされてしまい、ギャングに気づかれてしまう。。。

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found: a convent! "Waving Through a Window" is the second song in the Dear Evan Hansen the second song in Act One of the musical.After being shoved by Connor, Evan ponders if this is just his destiny; to never be noticed, and to not matter for the rest of his life.
